Peresta's Upholstery
Although Ken Peresta has been in the custom upholstery business since 1974, he says, “There is something new to learn every day.” That’s the attitude he is teaching his assistant, Dan Paglione, who some day may be the principal of Peresta’s Custom Upholstery in Langhorne. Together they can handle any upholstery job, including antiques, like the turn-of the-century sofa shown here.
Ken’s shop was built in 1986 behind his home, and in it he can handle any job. He has access to thousands of fabrics and will restore wood and springs on upholstered pieces. Ken and Dan are able to make an old damaged piece of furniture look like a one-of-a-kind heirloom. Custom upholstery for antiques preserves the sentimental value, enhances the décor of a home, preserves furniture from another period and displays a respect for fine craftsmanship. Besides antiques, Peresta’s also does commercial upholstery, restaurant booths, leather repair, refill cushions, kitchen sets, and custom made frames.
