The Mercer Museum’s annual major fundraiser Cocktails at the Castle returns to Doylestown, Bucks County, PA on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., for a night of culinary delights and tasty cocktails all for a great cause. This annual tradition supports the Mercer Museum’s year-round education programs, exhibitions, and community initiatives. The Mercer Museum is operated by the Bucks County Historical Society.
Guests enjoy an unforgettable evening on the grounds of the Mercer Museum with delicious specialties from a wide array of Bucks County culinary purveyors, along with one-of-a-kind craft cocktail creations, a decadent dessert lounge, and exceptional entertainment throughout the night.
The evening kicks off with the Pine Street Stroll cocktail hour, where guests enjoy pedestrian- only access to a party on Pine Street in the heart of Doylestown’s Cultural District, as well as in the historic quad on the grounds of the Mercer Museum. Guests take in stunning views of the museum and the historic Log House. Guests also enjoy the special ambience of the outdoor fire pits while sampling a tasty selection of food offerings from area restaurants.
After cocktail hour, local restaurant and catering partners serve carefully curated specialty dishes to guests both inside and outside of the Mercer Museum. This year’s current list of culinary partners includes Jeffrey A. Miller Catering, Chambers 19, Empanada Mama, Cross Culture Fine Indian Cuisine, Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s, Quinoa Peruvian & Mexican Restaurant, Luberto’s Brick Oven Pizza & Trattoria, New Britain Inn, Genevieve’s Kitchen, Las Frida’s Mexican Kitchen, and Wegmans.
Guests dance the night away to Philadelphia favorites “Where’s Pete Band” and cap off the evening with tempting creations in the dessert lounge from Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pierre’s Chocolate, Sweet Victory, and Le Macaron French Pastries.
Bucks County Historical Society Chief Executive Officer Kyle McKoy says, “We are delighted to invite the community to our annual Cocktails at the Castle fundraising event for the Mercer Museum. It is a magical evening filled with wonderful area restaurants in an exceptional historic setting!”
In addition to the event, an important fundraising component of Cocktails at the Castle is an online silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and unique packages. Auction participants do not need to purchase tickets or attend the Cocktails at the Castle event, and all bidding is done virtually.
