Campus Villa Joseph Marie
Villa Joseph Marie, a Catholic, all-girls college-preparatory high school in Holland, Pennsylvania, has announced a 10-year, $1.09 million grant from The Howley Foundation for student scholarships.
The grant will fund financial aid through the Foundation's Howley Scholars Program, which provides scholarships to approximately 1,150 high school and middle school students, predominantly in the Cleveland and Philadelphia areas, as well as to more than 500 college students around the United States. At Villa Joseph Marie, the grant will provide half-tuition scholarships to two students from the incoming Class of 2030, with two additional scholars added each subsequent year, building to eight Howley Scholars at the school at any given time. Scholars will be selected based on academic achievement, mission alignment, and leadership potential.
"We are grateful for this transformative gift from The Howley Foundation and the Howley Family," said Villa president Jeanne Frawley. "This relationship enables us to continue empowering promising young women, helping them discern who they are and who they’re called to be. We are honored to work with such a committed partner."
“We at The Howley Foundation believe that the best way to create social and economic mobility and improve lives is to provide quality educational opportunities,” said Meg Howley, Executive Director of The Howley Foundation in the Mid-Atlantic Region. “We believe a quality education combines both strong academic programs and a component of character formation. We welcome the opportunity to make a Villa Joseph Marie education accessible to more students.”
The partnership aligns with both organizations' commitment to providing access to quality education for deserving students, regardless of financial circumstances.
