Jacalyn Beam is a nationally recognized plein air impressionistic artist from the Brandywine Valley who also paints in the New Hope/ Lambertville areas. Her book, “Jacalyn Beam,” is a portfolio of her work. It is an art book in the most pristine sense—all paintings.
Lorelei Gabel, owner and director of the Carmel Fine Art Gallery in Carmel, California, who displays Jacalyn’s works that she paints on a yearly painting visit to the Monterey Peninsula, says “Jacalyn's impressionist landscapes reflect her deep appreciation for nature and the ever-changing play of light. A dedicated plein air painter, she ventures outdoors to capture scenes on location, painting with spontaneity and sensitivity.”
Jacalyn Beam is a Signature member of the American Impressionist Society, Juried Artist of the California Art Club and Washington Society of Landscape Painters, and member of Oil Painters of America. She participated on the national, juried plein air circuit for over ten years and earned multiple awards including Best of Show and Artist’s Choice. She currently serves on the Delaware Arts Council. In Modern Impressionist Magazine, Michael Dorogi writes, “Jacalyn Beam is a brilliant artist. Her works reflect the old masters but push on to new ground. Her works embody the past and the undiscovered, and this is what captivates us and returns us to her paintings over and over again.”
