Home of the Future
by Mary Beth Schwartz
The home of the future is here today. Recently the DIY Network unveiled some exciting home improvement technologies. There are ceiling fans, in-cabinet lighting, and upscale fixtures with LED bulbs. Solar energy now can be harnessed in window shutters, or even the hot water heater. How about a home wind turbine, a roof that lasts 50 years, or a home charging unit for an electric car? There is even a furnace available that can use electric, wood or oil. And for those of you who want to stay on top of the latest in lighting, shading, home automation, audio/video equipment, networking, and custom home theaters, there is Artistic Video & Sound.
Founded in 1993 by President Larry Scott, Artistic Video & Sound has clients in Bucks and Montgomery counties, Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore, and the Lehigh Valley. They go as far north as Scranton, and as far west as Harrisburg. “Our mission is to bring the best home entertainment and control system to your household.
