Partners, An Exhibit Featuring the Work of Six Couples

Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania – Canal Frame-Crafts Gallery is celebrating its Silver Anniversary by presenting PartNERS, an exhibit featuring the work of six artist couples.  The opening reception is Sunday May 17 from 1PM – 4PM and continues through Saturday June 13.

Says gallery owner, Debbie Crow, “I’ve had this show concept for several years, but with it being our 25th year in business, I decided the timing was perfect. Six married couples were selected who are also working as artists.  Their interesting stories on how they met and how it works sharing studios together will be on display during the show, as well as on our website: www.CanalFrame.com “

David and Mardi Schleinkofer met in college and were married Oct. 18, 1975.  David works in acrylic in an illustrative style, while Mardi creates one-of-a-kind heirloom necklaces.  Christopher McCall and Ron Prybycien met in Los Angeles in 1972 and have been together ever since, painting on opposite ends of their basement studio using the same medium but totally different styles and subjects. They were married July 31, 2013.  Susan Roseman and James Feehan were introduced through artist friend, Annelies VanDommelen in 1981 and married Feb. 20, 1985.  They share Rosemoon Studios and work in totally different styles, mediums, and subjects, yet both display a certain whimsical sense of humor. Robert and Alice Seufert had very similar educational backgrounds, but didn’t meet until years later in an alumni group from Bucks County Community College.  They were married Oct. 1, 1983 and share a studio and art school in Fairless Hills.  John Ennis and Jo-Ann Osnoe met in NYC playing volleyball on the Hearst Corporate Team.  They married on April 26, 1986 and remain a supportive team sharing a studio in Yardley.  Emily and George Thompson also met in NYC in 1985, both working for the Bloomingdale’s Advertising Department.  They were married July 27, 1991 and still work together producing fine art, graphic design, and teaching, occasionally even producing a collaborative piece.
