Bartram’s Garden
Ongoing: Visit this National Historic Landmark and House, circa 1728. The grounds are free and open to the public. Guided tours are available of both the historic garden, as well as the Bartram family home. Chanticleer
Ongoing: A 35-acre pleasure garden open to the public. The garden is a study of textures and forms, where foliage trumps flowers, the gardeners lead the design, and even the drinking fountains are sculptural. Annual Lecture at Tyler Formal Gardens

Topic: Capturing Gardens in Pictures & Words: a 20 year collaboration exploring the gardening world
Photographer Rob Cardillo, and writer/editor Adam Levine have been collaborating on award -winning
gardening books and magazine projects since 2001 and are senior editors at GROW magazine (PHS)
for 8 years. The 2023 Tyler Garden & Landscape Lecture -- illustrated by Rob's stunning photography from
around the world -- will focus on some of their favorite gardens and gardeners, and include their tips on
capturing arresting images and crafting compelling stories. They will also discuss their views on the gains and
losses in their profession -- from photography to writing to publishing -- as it has turned digital. Rob and Adam
were the first speakers in this lecture series in 2008 and have been friends of the Tyler Formal Gardens ever since.
Join us for an informative and fun morning. A tour of Tyler Formal Gardens will follow.
