Dounia
My name is Dounia Tamri-Loeper. After moving to the U.S. in 2003 and continuing my education in Art. I earned a B.S. in Design from Drexel University. Just 3 months after graduating, I become a designer at Michael Graves Architecture and Design in Princeton, NJ, where I had the honor of working closely with the legendary Michael Graves himself for almost 5 years. In 2015, I decided to pursue my dream and start my own line of products for the home under the Dounia Home brand.
At Dounia Home, we create innovative high-quality products for the modern home. As a company committed to aesthetic authenticity, we focus on sourcing, developing, and making all our products in the heart of Morocco. The inspiring historical and artistic landscape provides us with endless possibilities to connect our customers to the essence of this amazing country and preserve its craft.
Each piece is inspired by Moroccan architecture that has shaped the cityscapes for centuries. Our lighting combines geometry and intricate Moroccan craftsmanship. The perforations throughout each piece casts a pattern and a sense of regal tranquility, directing movement of energy throughout the space.
We are an ethical company focused on giving back to the community of artisans by providing them with resources for growth and each purchase helps us fulfill our mission.
