Fred Beans Subaru of Doylestown has once again come together as a dealership to support five different charities through the annual Subaru Share the Love ® Event. The dealership recently presented its most significant contribution of $26,000 to the "Hometown Charity” of choice: the Autism Cares Foundation of Southampton.
Subaru of America, Inc. and participating retailers such as Fred Beans concentrate efforts each December to make a difference in communities where Subaru is sold. For every new car sold and delivered, Subaru donates $250 to a nonprofit selected by the dealership that made the sale. Each retailer has the option to support a charity selected by Subaru or choose a “Hometown Charity.” Each can also spread a donation out to support more than one cause.
Fred Beans contributed an additional $50 for each sale during the campaign. The joint effort resulted in Fred Beans Subaru raising $26,732 for its designated “Hometown Charity,” the Autism Cares Foundation.
Todd Mock, general sales manager at Fred Beans Subaru, engaged new car buyers about his personal appreciation for the Share the Love® campaign. Over the past 12 years, Mock and his wife, Lisa, have grown to value the work of the Autism Cares Foundation by attending events with their son, Jake.
Support for the Southampton-based Autism Cares Foundation benefits a day program and various events for local individuals with disabilities and their families. Highlights include a highly anticipated prom night and around 200-250 free activities. This year, the Foundation is emphasizing the expansion of programs for adults.
"Raising a child with autism has taught me the true meaning of unconditional love and resilience,” said Mock. “Through our fundraising efforts with Fred Beans Subaru for the Autism Cares Foundation, I’ve witnessed the incredible power of community and hope. Together, we can create a world where every child, regardless of their challenges, can thrive.”
In addition to donating to “Hometown Charities,” Subaru has identified the same four national charities to receive donations: ASPCA, The Make a Wish Foundation, Meals on Wheels and The National Parks Foundation. Fred Beans Subaru of Doylestown chose to contribute to all four of these charities in addition to the Autism Cares Foundation for combined donations totaling over $30,000.
Over the past 12 years, Fred Beans has donated well over $300,000 for a “Hometown Charity” through its annual participation in Share the Love®. Since the inception of this national fundraising effort, Subaru of America, Inc. has donated more than $288 million to its designated national nonprofits.
“At Fred Beans, we actively look for ways to give back to our customers and the communities where they live,” said Fred Beans Automotive Group Vice President Beth Beans Gilbert. “Subaru shares our goal to make a difference beyond selling cars, and campaigns like Share the Love ® help us come together for an even greater impact.”

The pillars ensure customer service is the top priority of Subaru dealerships. This also is the primary focus of Fred Beans dealerships, which strive for 100 percent customer satisfaction.
