Aquatopia is Awesome
My family and I enjoy several trips each year to Camelback Lodge in the Pocono Mountains. During the winter we go tubing and skiing. During the summer we go to the Camelbeach Waterpark. On our last trip to Camelbeach, driving up the mountain, we saw the Aquatopia Waterpark and Hotel and were in awe as we passed it. We decided we would check it out on the way back down the mountain.
At Camelbeach we enjoyed a day of getting tossed around, flying down slides, floating around and getting slapped in the face with the waves. My son Bobby loved every ride as did my wife Vicky and myself. Vicky’s favorite experience was being carried up the mountain in the Sullivan’s Ski Ride in a four-passenger chairlift. The view of the waterpark and Aquatopia was awesome.
On the way down we stopped to see the new Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark. It was amazing. The entire complex had the rustic mountain feel. A true ski lodge yet with all the comforts you could imagine. You are greeted upon your arrival by a very professional and knowledgeable staff. You won’t feel overwhelmed with their assistance. And, they seem excited about it as much as we did.
The Aquatopia is complete with 13 waterslides, seven pools, two levels of water and 125,000 square feet making it the largest indoor waterpark in the Northeast. It features many thrilling water attractions including Storm Chaser, Venus SlydeTrap, The Lost River, and Kartrite’s Quest. Water park favorites include The Great KaNa-Gawa Wavepool, Bombora FlowRider surfing simulator, Mystic Springs indoor/outdoor hot tub and several waterslides.
The waterpark is available only to guests who are staying in the Camelback Lodge. The Lodge has 453 guest room suites. It is eight stories and has many dining options including three restaurants. Also equipped with a spa, fitness center and family entertainment center. The entertainment center is 20,000 square feet and includes more than a 100 video games.
