Contemporary Bucks Style
In April, William Draper Cabinetmaker and Wendy Kirk Designs joined The Fretz Corporation in celebrating the grand opening of a new Sub-Zero and Wolf showroom by Fretz. Located in The Philadelphia Navy Yard, the state-of-the-art new showroom features the best products in kitchen design displayed in beautiful kitchen settings.
Fretz invited William Draper to design the exclusive display for the “Bucks County Kitchen.” In turn, William Draper called upon 30-year design veteran Wendy Kirk, of Basking Ridge, NJ, to help take the project’s inspiration, stylings, and DRAPER-DBS cabinetry to a newly creative kitchen design.
William Draper and Wendy Kirk’s artistic mission for the display was to re-interpret the spirit of the Bucks County region in a contemporary aesthetic. The display’s clean, modern lines are balanced by warm, sun-bleached finishes on Walnut and richly textured Oak. Accents in polished hardware and glass stay current, while mullion cabinets and cast iron details represent much-loved antiques. The result is an elegant, gentrified tone with the underlying easy feel of the region. The design features custom cabinetry from William Draper’s artisans and wood shop in Perkasie.
The new Sub-Zero and Wolf showroom by Fretz is open to the public by appointment only. Its display can be viewed by personal tour with Wendy Kirk or a William Draper Cabinetmaker designer.
