Framegame
It was in October of ’84 that Karen Stark and her husband Alan Markowitz decided to open a frame shop in Newtown. Karen, who has a degree in fine art, was working for a chain store and wanted to be near her family and Alan, a business major, always wanted to have his own business. And now after 30 years they have two stores, and they still love what they do. “We do not only frame decorative art, but we also frame precious memories, heirlooms.” On the wall at the Newtown shop were framed sport jerseys, arrowheads, and all kinds of memorabilia. Frames are custom made from a large inventory of molding, allowing for a shorter wait time. Now they are also carrying a large assortment of gifts and can also be considered a gift store. Gifts include wish boxes, handmade jewelry, and an ice cube tray to make polar bear and penguin ice cubes and many other products that make gift giving a fun-filled adventure. The Framegame is located at 24 Richboro Road, Newtown, PA; 215-860-8727 and 690 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, PA; 215-321-9141. You can also visit the Framegame on the Web at www.theframegame.com.
