Pine Run
Pine Run Health Center, a center of healthcare excellence for short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents, will soon begin an $11 million renovation to enhance patient-care areas and improve patient-safety technology.
Pine Run Health Center has long served the community with 30 physicians and 21 rehabilitation therapists currently caring for more than 800 patients a year. The healthcare team cares for patients challenged by heart attacks, strokes, respiratory conditions, orthopedic injuries, and joint replacement procedures. Additionally, a full spectrum of health services is available for long-term residents coping with mobility issues, Alzheimer’s disease, and related memory care dementias. Pine Run Health Center is closely affiliated with Doylestown Hospital under the Village Improvement Association (VIA) Health System.
The renovations will begin July 1, 2013 and will be completed in March 2015. Among the enhancements: private rooms and full baths for all short-term rehab patients and most long-term residents; enhanced dining options; new and generous spaces for rehabilitative therapies and equipment; private, rejuvenating spa rooms for dementia patients; improved technology to enhance patient safety measures, such as medication ordering and electronic medical records; and a centralized, first-floor administration area to welcome patients and visitors, and allow for more patient-centered space on the upper four floors.
