A resident of Bucks County since 1966, Steven Snyder has been sculpting stone since 1981. Self-taught, he entered stone sculpting through his work as a stone mason which he began in 1976. His works are many and include the carving of three large sandstone murals on the exterior of the Jewish Center of Princeton in Princeton, New Jersey and the reproduction of a classic Bucks County farm house in Quitman, Mississippi. He was also commissioned by The Thompson Organization and family for a sculpture in honor of the millennium for the town of Doylestown called “Look to the Future Through the Past,” which is permanently installed outdoors at the corners of Broad and Court Streets. His sculptures are included in several permanent collections and are also collected privately throughout the United States. Steven Snyder Sculptures is located at 252 Cafferty Road Pipersville, PA 18947. For more information, call 610-294-9106 or visit www.stonesculpture.net.
