Lisa Miller
Liza Miller Ltd. opened its doors in Lahaska in September, co-founded by friends Ann Toll and Heather Law. During their journey through the farmer’s markets of Hungary and Romania, Ann and Heather fell head over heels for the century-old grain sacks that farmers filled with grain and lugged to the local mill. They loved their nubby, hand-woven texture, their colorful stripes, how they were lovingly hand-embroidered with a family’s initials, and the story each one told. From there, they extended their reach and gathered a beautiful selection of carefully curated vintage furniture, architecturals, garden items and linens that they shipped home to create Liza Miller. Everything from a massive 1871 winepress, to wrought iron from Budapest estates, to rustic farm tables, to brightly painted benches and vintage cheese boards. Liza Miller also carries over 50 unique gift lines for women, men and babies. A portion of Liza Miller’s profits goes to support Firm Foundations Romania, an international volunteer program that “loves the unloved” by holding, feeding, and caring for abandoned infants at a pediatric hospital in Brasov, Romania. Liza Miller is located at 5927 Lower York Road, New Hope, adjacent to Peddler’s Village. For more information, call 267-740-7191.
