Travis
Lauren Travis opened the Travis Gallery on May 1, 1990 and now is celebrating Travis Gallery’s 25th Anniversary. Specializing in regional art, Travis Gallery also does custom framing. Travis gallery represents artists from Pennsylvania and New Jersey. All the artists represented must be highly professional and paint in the distinctly representational style of the region. Lauren herself is a representational artist who has been painting since she was five years old. After a brief but successful career in pharmaceutical marketing, she returned to painting. She began doing portraits and then moved to still lifes and now is doing landscapes. Since landscape painting involves more direct painting, it allows Lauren to be more painterly. Lauren also teaches painting and holds artist workshops. Classes are held at her studio at the intersections of Rt. 413, Rt. 202 & Rt. 263 in Buckingham, PA. They are held Tues. from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. Wed. classes are held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Travis Gallery is located at 6089 Lower York Road (Rt. 202) in Solebury Township south of New Hope. Its hours are from Wed. to Sat. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. and by appointment.
