Kin is an all-inclusive Holistic Wellness and Support Center providing FREE services to cancer patients and their caregivers across Bucks County. Kin is thrilled to be the newest addition to the Bucks 5k Series with the introduction of The ‘Be Kind’ 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run debuting April 15 at Holicong Park in Doylestown. This year’s Presenting Sponsor is LBK Design Build. Lorraine Jasper, a local world class runner and cancer survivor will serve as the race Ambassador.
The Be Kind event is encouraging people throughout the community who want to run or walk to honor, celebrate, and inspire those who have battled or are battling cancer. The race is an officially certified 5k, and will attracted many athletes from the running community throughout Bucks County. Organizers also want to invite people to walk the course to support or honor a friend or loved one as a sign of unity throughout the community.
The beautiful course is expansive and relatively flat. The race will be contained within the massive 83 acres of Holicong Park. Race registration is open to the entire community of runners, joggers and walkers at www.bucks5kseries.com.
Kin Wellness and Support Center is a Non-Profit that cares for over 270 local cancer patients and their caregivers, offering free services made possible by community support. Kin joined the 5k Series to promote wellness and community camaraderie while helping local cancer patients. 100% of the registration fee for the event will go to Kin Wellness and Support Center.

"I was inspired to sign up for the Be Kind 5K to support my sister who's a breast cancer survivor, and a guest at Kin and for our beloved Aunt. Keep fighting!” states Bucks County resident, Brooke Lahr.The event has attracted 12 sponsors. These businesses are motivated to support the non-profit and see their sponsorship dollars help locals in need battling cancer: LBK Design Build, Jarrett Vaughan Builders, Scott Payne Pools, Thompson Detail Center, Evolution Candy, Portalis Insurance, Club Pilates, Bucks County Integrative Medicine, LaPlaca Insurance, Kim Porter Homes, ELA Outdoor Living, and Suburban Autoworks.

The Be Kind Team is comprised of locals volunteering their time, including Chris Millili, Joanne Hopkins, James Lamb, Mike Subs, and Brian Vaughan.

Kin is an all-inclusive 5,000 sq. ft. retreat offering holistic services including support, fitness, therapy, and integrative services. Kin is inspired by local Bucks County resident Corinne Sikora, who battled both brain and breast cancer. The Center is FREE to Bucks County, PA residents battling cancer regardless of where they are receiving treatment and welcomes caregivers as well.
