Peddler’s Village, a landmark shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in the rural heart of historic Bucks County, PA, will kick off its 41st annual scarecrow season on Wednesday, September 9 with Scarecrows in the Village, a property-wide display of scarecrows created by individuals and businesses in the greater Philadelphia region. The open-air Scarecrows in the Village display will be on view every day through October 24. Safety measures are in place, and admission and parking for the Scarecrows in the Village display are free.
Though the annual Scarecrow Festival is cancelled due to the pandemic, Peddler’s Village will host scarecrow-making workshops designed with safety in mind on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13. For the scarecrow-making workshop, there is a $35 fee for each family circle, which can accommodate up to six people. In addition to the scarecrow events, the month’s lineup at Peddler’s Village will include an outdoor movie night on September 3 featuring Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Socially distanced family circles that can accommodate up to six people are available for $30 each. Outdoor murder mystery walking tour events—“Murder by Gaslight”—will also be presented every Saturday night at 6 pm, 7 pm, and 8 pm. Admission for the walking tours is $25
