Rich Timmons
Don Sahli is an American painter, teacher of the Russian School of painting and the last apprentice to the famous Russian colorist and teacher Sergei Bongart.
Though very American, Sahli’s work contains echoes of the Russian Impressionist masters. And while his work can be seen as traditional with old world qualities that come from his background in the Russian School of Painting, it can also be seen as modern and contemporary—on the cutting edge of color, design and passion! Through his artistic vision and technique, he captures the essential qualities of our world in ways that create emotional responses in the viewer and collectors.
Sahli was taught in the traditional, academic way, not how to paint by formula, but rather, how to see the relationship of color, form and design in nature.
Don Sahli will be one of four featured artist from May 3rd to May 18th at the Rich Timmons Fine Art Gallery located at 3795 Route 202, Doylestown, PA 18902; 267-247-5867; Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
