Doylestown Art Festival
The organizers of the 2023 Doylestown Arts Festival are excited to announce the juried lineup of artists who will brighten the Borough streets on September 9th and 10th from 10 am to 5 pm each day. As the backbone of this cherished community tradition, over 150 artists converge on the streets each year to share their unique creations and artistic visions with thousands of attendees and art collectors.
Over 150 independent artists will be featured in this year’s festival. Their handmade creations span a variety of styles, media, and scale while offering the community the unique opportunity to meet and converse with the artists themselves. Featured works from hyper-local and regional artists will include Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Painting, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media, Photography, Sculpture, Wood, and more. Visit dtownartsfestival.com/artists/ to view artists in each category, along with their bios and previews of the work they will bring to this year’s festival.
“The Doylestown Arts Festival is an invaluable platform for artists and art lovers in the greater Philadelphia region! Every year, the festival connects up and coming artists to a wonderful, creative community that celebrates Buck’s County’s rich history of local art,” said Sam Thompson, a local painter who will be part of the 2023 festival.
The Doylestown Arts Festival has supported local and regional artists and performers for over 30 years, drawing an audience of buyers and collectors from near and far, while showcasing unique and one-of-a-kind works of art for all to enjoy. Featuring 5 stages of live music, along with live art and interactive activities, this event—which is free to the public—is designed for the entire community and visitors to experience. Founded in 1991 by a volunteer group of businesses and residents, the festival now celebrates 32 years of showcasing creativity in Bucks County.
Home to over 8,000 residents as well as the Michener Art Museum, Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle, TileWorks, the County Theater, and a robust downtown of galleries, restaurants, and locally-owned shops and boutiques, Doylestown is nationally recognized as a destination town. The Doylestown Arts Festival is made possible by a small volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown and is presented by the Thompson Organization.
