New stores at peddlers
This month, Peddler’s Village, a countryside shopping, dining, lodging, and family entertainment destination in the heart of historic Bucks County, PA, is adding two new shops to its 65-store outdoor retail center. Cigar, Cigars is opening on July 13, and Mama Hawk’s Kitchen and Coffee will be opening the week of July 20.
“While other shopping malls are facing major retail losses because of COVID-19, we are very proud and fortunate that we were able to add shops during the pandemic,” said Bob McGowan, chief operating officer of Peddler’s Village. “Because Peddler’s Village is an outdoor destination, we are seeing a steady stream of safety-conscious but very enthusiastic visitors who are taking this opportunity to browse through our shops, dine at our restaurants with our expanded outdoor areas, and take photos of our many seasonal flowers. We are so glad that merchants as well as the public share our confidence that Peddler’s Village will continue to move forward strategically and safely!”
In 2019, Peddler’s Village was one of the four top attractions in Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. Peddler’s Village closed in March because of the pandemic, but re-opened its shops, restaurants, inn, and indoor family fun center over the past few weeks with a phased approach that included the addition of outdoor dining areas and dozens of new tables throughout the property.
Cigar, Cigars is a 25-year-old cigar store chain that has 19 brick and mortar stores in the southeastern part of PA, New Jersey, and Sarasota, FL, with the newest location opening in Peddler’s Village. Cigar, Cigars offers a huge variety of cigar brands from which to choose, and for those wishing to try different varieties, cigar sampler packs are also available.
Mama Hawk’s Kitchen & Coffee is a bright, cheery place to grab coffee, a quick bite, or a delicious baked treat. Serving Thou Mayest Coffee from roasters in Kansas City, an array of freshly baked goods featuring Mama Hawk’s own special recipes, and lunch entrees such as personal wood-fired pizzas, paninis, soups, and salads, Mama Hawk’s serves up small plates full of flavor.
