A high chest, sometimes called a "high boy," is a furniture form designed for use in the chamber or bedroom of a prosperous home. This 75 ½-inch high by 40-inch wide and 19 ½-inch deep is from New England, Circa 1780. It is a beautifully slim form containing five over graduated drawers raised on a nicely shaped apron with center drop. It is available at Raymond James Antiques, 5791 York Road, Lahaska, PA 18931; 215-794-9494; http://www.raymondjamesantiques.com.
