John Madle
Jon Madle has been doing artisan level restoration masonry for about 16 years and during that time has developed a business that takes him on jobs from Philadelphia suburbs to Upper Bucks County. He can do restoration work on old homes, which when finished has the look of age and is indistinguishable from the original work. This ability and his desire to accept challenges got him interested in masonry heaters. A masonry heater is a high-mass heat storage system. They are very clean and efficient wood burning structures that go back to ancient times and are found in just about every area of the world, except for here in this area of the United States. Jon wanted to remedy that, so he recently finished one that actually won the Masonry Heater Association of North America’s Design/ Build Award for 2014. The masonry heater has been around since the days of ancient Rome and it is probably the most efficient way to heat with wood. Very little creosote is left and the heater has only to be fueled once or twice a day to heat a home. For more information on Masonry Heaters and how these can save money, provide a warm environment and even be used for some of the cooking, call Jon Madle at Home & Hearth Masonry at 610-844-2838 or visit www. http://homeandhearthmasonry.com.
