He also treats glaucoma, corneal infections, and ocular surface diseases. Dr. Meghpara received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He then graduated from their College of Medicine. His ophthalmology residency was at Baylor College of Medicine. “We provide a customized experience. Every patient is evaluated preoperatively and postoperatively by their surgeon. One of the things that we specialize in is making our patients independent from contact lenses and glasses. We are able to do this in multiple ways for different ages groups. For patients ages 25 to 40, we can use a laser to shape the cornea in a procedure called PRK or LASIK. For those who are not candidates for LASIK, we offer other procedures. One of the newest out there is called an implantable polymer lens. This is a contact lens that is inserted into the eye. We are one of the few practices in the area to offer this,” Dr. Meghpara says.
