Lawrence Landscapes
Last year Lawrence Landscapes collaborated with Marina Rubina, AIA on a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) Gold Certification project in Princeton, New Jersey. The goal of creating a sustainable landscape is achieved using native plants, local, and recycled materials. The plants are watered by a drip irrigation system, which is supplied with recycled gray water from a cistern system. Then buffalo grass was installed for lawn establishment, which requires little rainfall to retain its lush appearance and needs minimal mowing. A permeable patio was made by incorporating permeable joints in place of impervious expansion joints. The project also included low voltage lighting installation. Working together with a client in a collaborative relationship brought this successful project all together. Lawrence Landscapes is located at 1383 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing, NJ 08618.
