I’ve been seeing it around in magazines for some time now and the more I saw it, I became curious. So, I went ahead and ordered the Gorilla Bow. Yes, it may have a funny name. Sounds like it’s for tough guys only. Not so. And, it really does work. I have mentioned the use of bands in my previous departments, and the reason I was interested in this was the cost. Everyone can afford this piece and it doesn’t take up a lot of room.
The day the Gorilla Bow arrived, of course, I was eager to get started. As Bill was pulling the box apart, I saw a smile on his face. I knew right then and there that it was easy to put together. As a matter of fact, there is no assembly. Bill was dancing on air with his arms dangling, hugged me like a big Gorilla.
I immediately noticed how well it was made. Very sturdy and strong and easy to use. Basically, you are putting the bands on or pulling them off to fit your resistance level. And, this home and mobile gym provides a full body workout by combining this ancient weapon, a bow, and modern resistance band technology. The Gorilla Bow easily adjusts to your exercise needs no matter what your skill level or fitness goal is.
It comes complete with four resistance bands that create anything from 5lbs. to 200 lbs. of resistance. So, you can see what a wide range you have to play with. You will get a full body workout with the included workout guide. You can maximize results in less time with high intensity interval training which incorporates intervals of high intensity and recovery which boosts your metabolism and burns tons of calories in a short period of time.
I realized while I did some of the exercises in the guide I didn’t need to do much before I began to get a good sweat. As I continued I noticed it was working all my major muscle groups. I was feeling all my muscles groups and burning calories. I was pleased that it did what it said it would in all that I have heard and read about.
One point I want to make is that the Gorilla Bow utilizes advanced resistance technology that doesn’t rely on gravity (like traditional weights). So, you can’t cheat your movements with momentum. The exercises are endless. The different resistance bands are great as you switch between leg, arm, and back workouts or for different leg, arm, and back workouts or for different strengths. And, get this, is joint friendly. Repeated joint compression and lack of joint stabilization is what breaks down joint surfaces. Resistance bands create significantly less joint compression because they use tension instead of gravity. Like free weights. Therefore, bands can train using horizontal and rotational forces which create far less joint compression.
Band training eliminates always having to train the muscles using the same patterns of movement which in turn is far more joint friendly with low impact muscle strengthening. And by strengthening the muscles around joints it is great for those with arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation recommends resistance band training in physical therapy and rehabilitation. They know it can be a very safe and effective part of every fitness program.
The important of strengthening our muscles as we age is important. According to a new study published in The American Journal of Medicine, older adults can fight the traditional muscle loss that comes with age and actually get stronger. By doing resistance exercises three times a week you will begin to see the improvement and begin to challenge yourself to increase your resistance level.
The Gorilla Bow has a great price! It reduces injury and gives you a more complete workout with tension. And, the continuous tension provides a superior workout. It is easy and fun to use for all levels of fitness. Supports every strength level fitness goal and workout routine. You can do dozen’s of workouts covering all muscle groups and there is even a video inside the box.
I think It’s great that it provides a full body workout with one simple, ultra- portable piece of equipment. The Gorilla Bow is a well-made versatile device. Great workout tool.
I really like the Gorilla Bow because it’s a compact portable device you can take along anywhere. It is very inexpensive way to train at home. What better way to join the mobile fitness revolution. And, like with any exercise program, consult your physician before starting.
