I always enjoy making the rounds at the fitness Expos to see the latest fitness equipment. The last one I went to was in Philadelphia, and it had so much to offer. There were a few that I did come across.
The DB Method was not only interesting looking, but also got me interested in what it does. It’s a full body workout, quite intense and fun. I certainly enjoyed giving this a try as the DB Method was shifting the center of gravity away from my legs, forcing my butt out to deliver fast, convenient butt blasting moves.
This portable fitness machine is known to give you that perfect booty and much more. By sitting on the seat, grabbing the handles, positioning my feet on the foot rests, bending my knees to sit back, all the while engaging my core to maintain good posture. Unlike typical air squats, this device provides constant resistance on your way up and down. It glides your butt so that you don’t fall back.
By elevating my toes and giving me something to hold on to, my weight is shifted from my quads to my butt so my glutes can take over. Compared to regular squats, this modified version of the movement puts less pressure on my knees and back to reduce the risk of strains, All the exercises are basic enough for beginners. You don’t have to be a squat fanatic to be good at the DB Method. You sit on the seat, bend your knees, extend your legs to standup.
There are different degrees of resistance depending on the squat movement you are doing. Getting into a full range squat is much harder than doing a bunch of pulses at the top of the movement. Compared to basic air squats, I feel as if this machine worked new and different muscles.
This is a great multi-purpose machine. You can tone your legs, work out your abs and arm muscles just by positioning yourself different. Instead of squating, you can push down on the seat to tone your arms. People with bad knees, hips and lower back swear by the DB Method. No pain whatsoever.
The DB Method machine requires no tools to assemble as everything clicks into place. It folds easily to a height of only 7 inches. There are many detailed videos they have put online. They include; beginner workout, ab series, cardio sculp, advance workout, arms and chest and more. Best little gym in the comfort of your home.
Founder of the DB Method, Ericka Rayman, after years of running, found herself with blown out knees and sciatica. This was a lot to make her look for a way to get inspired with a new routine. The DB Method is great for all those arthritis sufferers. No ifs or butts about it …The DB Method kicks butt! And, with any exercise program, consult your physician before starting.
