Mandee
During the 1850s when photography began, photographs were made on glass. These ambrotypes are the basis for a new wearable art form developed by Bucks County Playhouse photographer and publicist Mandee Kuenzle. Her custom and artistic gift line, Vignette, Gifts of Art & Nostalgia, begins with the client’s most meaningful photographs, which are delicately reproduced to appear antique then fused and treated with patinas of gold and platinum, forming photos into a one-of-a kind wearable work of art that resembles an unearthed relic. Mandee began to realize that everyone has a story to tell and that in our visual world, what better way to do it than through lasting, meaningful photos that additionally have an artistic function. So she also offers Storyline Wine & Design events where she gathers with groups, who are encouraged to tell their stories around the images they share, while enjoying wine and designing custom pieces together.
