Leah Atkinson
Local Author Leah Atkinson Release of Just Another Run of the Mill Day.
The Atkinson family wasn’t the perfect family, but whose is? They were healthy and relatively happy. As the mother of two sons, author Atkinson had a life filled with twists and turns, even more so since Jameson and Ross had become teenagers. But nothing could have prepared her for the firestorm that was about to consume their family.
Mothers and their children share a unique bond, but sometimes, life interferes with those bonds. A catastrophic health crisis or teenage rebellion can wreak havoc on even the strongest of relationships. But life also has a way of turning almost certain tragedy into triumph, of healing the body as well as the soul, and of restoring a mother’s faith. Just Another Run of the Mill Day chronicles one family’s journey from tragedy and despair to hope and redemption. This memoir will leave readers uplifted and parents grateful for their children. This heartfelt mother’s story conveys the thoughts and feelings that most people have probably felt but were afraid to acknowledge. Just Another Run of the Mill Day will provide a roadmap and the assurance to parents who feel uncertain and almost helpless that you are not alone on your journey.
